Socialism Standard & Research Centre Nepal was founded in 2011 and is a non-governmental, apolitical, and nonprofit organisation that works to uphold social justice, the rule of law, and human rights protection in Nepal. The goal of SSRCN is to support the development of Nepal into a fair, tranquil, and affluent nation that respects, defends, and promotes everyone's economic, social, and cultural rights. Strategic litigation has been one of the main methods and instruments SSRCN has used to improve the protection of human rights in Nepal, in addition to advocacy, capacity-building, monitoring, and conducting research and studies on many themes and subjects relevant to human rights. To advance the realisation of human rights for everyone, especially the vulnerable and marginalised populations in Nepal, SSRCN believes in and encourages collaboration between like-minded organisations and individuals at the local, provincial, federal, and international levels.
